Devonshire Collective is delighted to announce the appointment of Edward Ball as its new Director. Edward will have oversight of the three key areas of our work - VOLT, Makerspace and DC Learn. Edward’s track record is exemplary - he comes to us having worked at grant-making art and education charity Freelands Foundation, Camden Arts Centre and White Rainbow. We are excited by his vision to develop the potential of Devonshire Collective through a wide-ranging programme in and outside of our spaces.

Edward is looking forward to taking up his new post from the 13th September, and had the following to say about his role at Devonshire Collective: “I am honoured to join as Director of Devonshire Collective, an organisation with great heart and energy, deeply invested in the communities of Eastbourne and East Sussex. Together with a fantastic board and team, we are ambitious to collectively envision DC’s next chapter: creating the conditions for creative practice to flourish, developing sustainable and nurturing partnerships, and centring Eastbourne’s young people and communities in all that we do.”

Staff and trustees are excited to welcome Edward to the team. Chairperson Lucy Day says “Our ambition has been to see Devonshire Collective creatively investing in and celebrating our diverse local communities, through a programme of high calibre exhibitions and projects. Edward brings experience, passion, and a wealth of potential to the organisation. We very much look forward to welcoming him to Eastbourne and the wider region.”
