Interior, Puzzling is a new body of work by Nancy Odufona that invokes the feelings and functions of our domestic spaces and architectures. In recent years living and working environments have become more fluid, as have our conceptions of public, private and shared space. Odufona’s installation intervenes in the architecture of the gallery through objects and images, asking how we might find spatial and perceptual harmony within confinement and shared space.

Working with materials and images inspired by interior design magazines, Odufona reflects on whether our idealised vision of the perfect work/life balance is truly possible in our homes, or a fantasy. Using objects inspired by furniture and children’s building blocks, Odufona’s interactive sculptural assembly creates a space for sharing and problem solving. Across her exhibition, Odufona seeks to create harmonious yet separate zones for privacy and connection.
